Nostalgia

Ahhh... Videogame nostalgia. Listening to this makes me want to try to complete the game again after many failed attempts in my primary school days.

Not to mention it makes great bass voice practice as well bwahaha.

Down

Some people don't realize how lucky they are. If only I had that kind of attention.

I think if I were to die tomorrow, nobody would give a shit or even realize it happened.

Egotist

I think I have this pathological desire to prove myself to anybody and to get their approval or adulation.

The worst part is knowing that it's a bad thing but I can't help feeling it.

Survival

I think it's time for me to stop trying to fight in the big leagues any further and be content with what I have and can do or am willing to do at this moment.

If not, then all my life will just be a struggle. And I ask you, will it be worth it? If other people want to fight tooth and nail to get to where they want to as fast as possible then by all means. If they love doing so, then I congratulate them. If they're flogging themselves to death just to get that headstart over others who don't, then I pity them.

I know the limits of my own abilities; I won't try to kill myself just to accelerate my future job opportunities. I'm destined to be a mediocre-man, anyway.

First Impressions

I always thought that my first impression of someone was usually rather accurate. But there were 2 examples today that got me thinking that maybe I should not judge a person's character just after the first meeting.

I thought he was a nice guy and good to work with way back in my first posting a year ago and even if we didn't talk much we could still be amicable towards each other. But it turns out that more and more recently that he's got the "I'll only be nice to you if you are nice to me back" and the"I'll only be nice to you if I need something from you" complex... Seems like it only applies to guys. Not that I'm hurt or anything, but to fall in my eyes from an acquaintance to a jerk in the space of 1 year... Took me pretty long to realize his true colours.

I thought he was a guy who didn't like me or couldn't find a common ground on which to talk stuff with me and when mixed in a group of friends closer to him (which is practically the whole big cg), he won't really try to include me in the conversation. But it turns out that he's very easy to approach and a nice guy to talk to, and good to work with as well, during our clinical work recently. In the space of a few months, I've turned from avoiding conversation with him to approaching him about work or just to talk casually. Good to make a new friend.

Haha. The arrogant SOB actually put Alto/Bass on the members list. What the shit. Just cos he managed to get an alto slot in Equivox.

Okay, I'm still pretty sore that I didn't get the bass part in Equivox. I still can't believe that they'd audition for basses just to reject all the basses in the end and take a guy who can't EVEN sing bass properly (what kind of bass can't even hit a low F) to sing alto, and push their baritone down to bass. Yes, I am holding a damn grudge and I hope your group crashes and burns, especially when you use the "doctors have no time to sing" card against me when one of your freaking members is a doctor. Just say I don't cut it and be done with it instead of lying through your teeth and making me wait for a reply for one month.

Doesn't help that that arrogant SOB is really an arrogant SOB during practices. At least if he was a nice guy I'd be okay about it. But that arrogant SOB is living my dream and I can't take that lying down without doing something about it. Audio 5.1 better show Equivox what a bunch of deluded old fogeys they are.
