WTF

What is it with some of our batchmates and their endless innate pathologic desire to want to outdo others?

Two excellent examples today, demonstrated in one post-lecture discussion.

One of us today was questioning how RAPD works and the logic behind it. As I wanted to understand the process myself and clarify a few things, I entered the discussion that was already taking place between him and two others. I am very, VERY sure that whatever I said made sense, and that my description of the RAPD test was accurate. But he had to refute whatever I said, without making a basis on why he's refuting it. Only when the rest of the group came to the same bloody consensus, which was what I ORIGINALLY suggested, did he accept that it was right.

Is there something about me that screams STUPID? Do I have this aura around me that people will believe the exact OPPOSITE of whatever I say just because I say it's true, even when all evidence points to me being right? I mean, I had the correct idea man, I joined in the discussion to try to help, and you bloody treat me like I'm a stupid f***er. It's not the first time this has happened with this guy. It pisses me off to the core.

Second example occurred during our heated discussion on how RAPD works. Two of our group were discussing it on their own right next to us. When it got to a point where we just confused ourselves further (because he didn't want to listen to me), one of them happily said "Oh they're confused, never mind we not confused can already" and they BLOODY got up to leave.

I mean, what's WRONG with you? People are freaking struggling to understand something here, and YOU can work it out, and instead of helping us understand, you get up to leave? What the F*** is WRONG with you? It's just bloody damn selfish! I requested rather forcefully that they explain it to us, which kinda scared one of them but come on man. If you two can work it out, don't be so damn selfish and leave 5 of us in the lurch.

In any case they didn't understand what we were trying to work out anyway.

I can't believe some people. This is the typical Singaporean dragon-batch attitude of only looking out for yourself.

Just damn disappointing.
