Eeks

I don't think I've ever been so devastated by a (prospective) Liverpool loss...

Maybe it's what's been going through my mind all this while, but predominantly today...

But I guess it's mainly cos they've been winning so much you kind of expect them to perform at least a little bit better, especially after a superbly poor first-half against Man City. I mean, what's the point of beating Man U if you play so poorly against and lose to Man City? Full credit to Man City, they looked at least 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times hungrier than Liverpool for the win. All Liverpool could do was look lacklustre and wasteful.

That's all Liverpool have been doing in recent years, regarding the Premier League title. No, in 19 years. Build you up with expectation and fill you up with hope, then stumble and collapse halfway through the race. Plenty of false dawns.

I'm not even going to bother watching the 2nd half. I've got work to do and I've already wasted 45 minutes of my time not doing it. It'll probably mean more goals, but not for Liverpool the way they're going. I'd be incredibly surprised if I see the final score later tonight and it gives at least a Liverpool draw, cos giving their 1st half performance, I don't think they'll be able to turn this game around.

"You'll Never Walk Alone"... keep singing and maybe one day... but not today.
