Birthday Boy

You know they say as you get older, holidays and birthdays and the like seem to get less magical year after year?

Well... This year wasn't the case :)

Went to school today to have anat tutorial at 0830... After I had gone into the seminar room, Perry called me out and he and Diana presented me a gift which Jaryl had chipped in to buy as well... I was so surprised when I opened it to find that it was the Liverpool shoebag, which I had written off buying a long time ago since I didn't really need one and it seemed extravagant... Thanks a lot guys! :)

My anat group also celebrated with me when I re-entered the class room, singing "Happy Birthday" very loudly and cheerfully :) Hahaha... After that Charles and Xin Rong insisted on treating me to Megabytes lunch since I was the birthday boy... That was really super cool, those 2 guys are fantastic.

Grace gave me my first ever birthday present from her... A bag of bones for anat O_O hahaha! It's in rather good condition though! Even though it creeps my mother out... I hope I don't get haunted or something. Touch wood.

Later, while studying in the seminar room, Eunice came in and gave me a nice little gift, which I thought was very sweet as she probably didn't know it was my birthday till that very day itself... :)

Prof Dinesh Kumar also wished me happy birthday, and treated all of us to Spinelli coffee as well! Prof Dinesh rocks man, he's the coolest tutor we've ever had! Which reminds me, I need to add him to our yahoogroups...

Then after that, Natalie offered to give me a lift home, like ALL the way home, which I thought was super cool :P I like her car haha... And she drives really well!

Dinner was great, we had steamboat with EE and family and Ah Chuan and family as well... Nice little quiet gathering where we talked to each other, enjoyed the food and company... As well as getting a kick out of watching my little nephew, Brian, entertaining himself. I played a lot of Halo 3 too haha :P

The most unexpected and fantastic part was the streams of smses, online IMs and facebook wall posts that I got throughout the past two days... People I hadn't talked to in a long time wishing me happy birthday, people whom I've lost touch with doing the same... I felt so touched and loved :)

Then it came in the late evening, when I thought it was too good to hope for... That one really made my day. It may seem like a really little thing... But it sent me over the moon. The little things that make you happy...

Many thanks to Bernadine (who was the first to wish me), Jon Teo and Shuo Jie (though idiot Chacken forgot, as usual, but you two get next spot cos you're my best friends haha)... Yi Wei and Zeying for writing such long and inspiring smses... Melody who inducted me into her Spongebob Club... And all those who remembered and wished me well, you've really made my 20th birthday one that I will remember for a long time :) thank you all!

P.S. You know, Perry, Celeste and Beatrice, remember what I said about birthday wishes not really coming true at all? I really and sincerely hope that my birthday wish this year is answered, because this is one of the few times, that I've not used my birthday wish on myself.
